NM: BERNALILLO CO.: 1716 M.
General Description.—Large chamber in lava with fissures sloping downward. Original opening in top of dome; later, a tunnel was driven (supposedly by guano miners into side). Original excavations by UNM Anthropology under Hibben.
Comments.—Harris and Findley (1964) did not distinguish between taxa identified from Isleta Cave No. 1 and Isleta Cave No. 2; Harris (1985) did. Am not citing the former here in the faunal list. Includes Holocene material, some of which with study probably can be distinguished from the Pleistocene material.
Age.—RANCHOLABREAN and HOLOCENE. 14C dates on bone are 17,240 ± 260 (AA 1208) and 16,530 ± 200 (AA 1209).
Publications.—Findley, Harris, Wilson, and Jones 1975; (Frison, Walker, Webb, and Zeimens 1978); Harris 1985; Harris and Findley 1964; Hibben 1941.
