General Description.— et al. 1988: ca. 113° 56' W, ca. 36° 06' N, lower Granite Gorge, Grand Canyon; Kurtén and Anderson 1980: In cliff 151 m above Colorado River, 83 km E Boulder City. Chamber 12 X 15 m with sloth dung to depth of more than 1.2 m. Fire started by vandals in summer of 1976 destroyed much of deposit.

Age.— series of dates from >40,000 (A-1042) to 10,780 ± 200 (A-1067) plus two rejected by Long and Martin (1974) of 10,400 ± 275 (I-442) and 10,035 ± 250 (L-473a). Average surface date without these two, 11,070 BP.
